How to Make A Survival Weapon

How well would you survive if you were stuck on your own in an emergency? Many of us may prepare for years in order to ride out such a situation and we might feel as if we are completely prepared for the worst.

More than likely, we develop our own go-bag and it has everything that we can possibly need in it. We packed matches, ponchos, freeze-dried food, extra water, money, medicine, and anything else that we can possibly think of.

There is also something else that we may need, especially under certain circumstances. You may find yourself needing to protect yourself or perhaps you may need to hunt for food. If that is the case, you will need a weapon and some of us may not pack a weapon when we are packing our go-bag.

If you found yourself in such a situation, don’t be overly concerned. In fact, you can make a fairly decent weapon with a plastic bottle, a rubber balloon, and some cooking skewers. This weapon is so effective that with a little practice, you will be able to take down some small animals very easily.

The first step in the process is to cut the end of the water bottle (or soda bottle) off using a knife or pair of scissors. You really only need the part underneath the cap that holds the cap in place. Don’t save too much, just that piece and a little more.

Next, stretch the balloon over the ridges that hold the bottle cap in place. You won’t want to have the cap on it, because you will want to have an opening that you can slide the piece of wood down into the balloon. It should be fairly tight and should stay in place when you stretch it under pressure.

Believe it or not, you have now created a makeshift weapon and it can work fairly well. At this point, you can simply use one of the wooden skewers and put it down in the balloon. Stretch the balloon back while holding onto the skewer inside of the balloon and let it fly.

At first, you may have difficulty hitting your target but with a little practice, you will find that your aim improved drastically. You might even be able to judge properly so that you can get the spear to be more than a projectile, it can actually impale what you are shooting at.

It’s amazing what you can make if you really have a need for a weapon of some sort. With just a few items on hand, you can make this weapon and have it available in case you need it.
