How to Boil an Egg Without Water

Although we may have many options for food, that is not necessarily going to be the case under emergency circumstances. We would quickly find ourselves trying to come up with some interesting items to keep ourselves nourished and keep our belly full.

As a survivalist, you will want to have a ready supply of food available and one way to do so is to have chickens. If you only have a few chickens at your disposal, they will produce a massive amount of eggs and sometimes, it can be difficult to keep up with them.

Quite honestly, having too many eggs to eat is a good problem to have. That is especially true during a survival situation where you are trying to stay alive and will eat anything in order to do so. Having a ready supply of eggs is a luxury at that time.

That being said, you also want to eat eggs in a way that makes them palatable and perhaps would even allow them to be packed for longer-term storage. One of the ideal ways to do so is to have boiled eggs, but what if you don’t have a ready supply of water available?

Believe it or not, you can boil an egg and you don’t even need any water to do it. In fact, it is relatively easy to do as you will see in the following video.

The video is presented by a man who has a lot of chickens on his homestead. They eat eggs all of the time, and they came up with this option to boil an egg at their campsite on their property.

You begin by puncturing a small hole in the end of the egg. Take a stick that is the same size as the hole and push it down into the egg in order to scramble what is inside. It isn’t necessary to go crazy doing it, you just want to mix things around.

Next, you will heat the egg on the fire. You need to pay attention to the egg, however, because it will eventually harden over and will even pop. That will ruin the egg but if you work with it, you can keep it scrambling.

As the egg starts to cook on the inside, puncture the hole again with a small stick and continue to scramble the inside. It will take some time and effort on your part but eventually, the egg will be cooked solid and you can enjoy a good hard-boiled egg.
