After Earth Survival Tip: How To Find Water

If someone were to ask you what fundamental things you needed to survive, there is no doubt you would include the list of the same things that everybody else would say. If we’re talking about true survival, you would need food, shelter, and water.

When you stop to think about those three items, however, you begin to realize just how important one of them is. After all, how long do you think you could survive without shelter? Unless you are living in extremes, most people could survive a week or longer. The same can also be said about food or perhaps even more.

The real key to survival, however, is making sure that we have water as soon as possible. The problem is, if we don’t have water available, we are quickly going to dehydrate and lose energy. Within just a few days, we will die.

That is why it is so vitally important to ensure that we have a fresh supply of water available at all times. We can’t rely on it to rain every day, because it may go a week or more without rain. What can you do to get the water you need?

Most of us would probably be able to find at least some water. The problem is, unless the water is fresh, it can actually make us sick. We could even end up drinking our own urine, but that is not going to be the most pleasant or the best option out there.

If you are able to find water, even dirty water, you can always freshen it up. This is possible, even under some of the most rugged circumstances you can imagine and it is easily explained in the video below. How do you do it?

The first step in the process is to have a water bottle that is full of water. It doesn’t matter if it is dirty or not, this is the process that is going to start it.

Next, we need to dig a small impression in the ground. It isn’t necessary to dig it so that it is super deep, we just need to dig in enough that we can perhaps fit a soccer ball down into it.

Take the water that you have and saturate the ground at the bottom of the hole. When you are finished, you should have at least a little standing water.

The next step is to take a piece of plastic and cover the hole. With all of the plastic trash that is out there, you should be able to find one in almost any part of the earth. Cover the hole and push your finger to slightly indent the plastic above the plastic bottle, which now should have its top cut off.

At this point, you would just let nature take its course. The heat from inside of the pit would evaporate the water, which would condensate on the plastic. It will then run down to the lowest point, which you made by pushing your finger into it and drip down into the bottle clean.
