This Is Why You Should Always Use Para Cord Instead of Nylon Cord

Have you stopped to think about what you have in your go-bag? If you are like many people who are getting ready for disaster or survival, you pack one of these bags to make sure that you are as ready as possible.

One of the issues with having such a go-bag is the fact that we constantly think about other items we can put into them. In other words, a bag constantly gets heavier and soon, it can be more of a hindrance than a survival tool. They just get too heavy too quickly.

That is why it is important to consider the weight of the items that you are putting into the bag along with the reason why you are using them. If you don’t consider the weight, you are really going to be adding too much to the bag because you will go on price alone.

A good example of this is the fact that you should have some rope available in the bag. Rope is a very convenient thing to have in a survival scenario, regardless of whether it is a war or a natural disaster. If you have rope, you have a lot of what you need to survive.

Most people just tend to purchase some nylon rope and throw it into the bag. It’s inexpensive, doesn’t weigh much, and you can store quite a lot in a small amount of room. Still, that doesn’t mean it is the best option and many survivalists are now talking about how important it is to use paracord.

Military-grade paracord is beneficial on so many different levels. When you compare it with nylon, there truly is no comparison. Sure, you’re going to pay more for the paracord but you get so much more in return.

First of all, the strength of paracord is far superior to the strength of regular nylon cord. That can be of big help if you are trying to wrap something or carry something using the cord. The last thing you would want is for the cord to break.

Another benefit to paracord is the fact that it has many strands of nylon on the inside. This could help because even if the cord gets nicked on the outside, it will maintain much of its strength.

A little trick is to peel the outside off of the paracord and use some of the individual nylon fibers. These can be used for a wide variety of reasons, including fishing lines, making nets, or even creating traps.

The bottom line is, make sure you have para cord in your go bag. You won’t regret it. Watch more in this video:
